This past December, A.E. Roofing & Contracting had the incredible honor of serving as an official toy donation site for The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Toy Drive. What followed was more than a collection of toys — it was a clear reminder of just how generous, compassionate, and community-oriented our neighbors truly are.
From the moment the Angel Tree was placed in our office, the response was quick. Friends, families, customers, and local supporters stopped by carrying unwrapped gifts and happy smiles. Some came with carefully selected presents tied to a specific child’s wish. Others quietly dropped off donations, asking for no recognition. Every single act of kindness mattered.
Thanks to overwhelming support, children in Van Buren and West Berrien County woke up to gifts showing they are seen, valued, and loved. For those facing numerous tough times, those gifts meant hope—more than toys.
A Community That Shows Up
At A.E. Roofing & Contracting, we protect homes and help families feel secure. Hosting the Angel Tree let us support families in another deep way. It reinforced what we believe — when our community sees a need, it shows up.
The Angel Tree quickly filled. But more importantly, it was filled with something deeper than donations. It is filled with generosity. It was filled with joy. It is filled with the kind of kindness that defines who we are as a community.
We witnessed grandparents shopping for children they would never meet. Parents bring their kids in to choose a tag and learn the importance of giving back. Business owners are encouraging their teams to participate. These moments are what make the holiday season truly special.
Gratitude That Lasts Beyond the Season
To everyone who gave a gift, helped behind the scenes, shared encouragement, or spread the word — thank you. Your generosity brought smiles long past Christmas morning.
We are grateful to partner with The Salvation Army and serve as a collection site for such a meaningful initiative. We do not take this responsibility lightly.
The holiday season has passed, but your kindness remains. The Angel Tree Toy Drive showed that community is not only about geography—it’s about standing together when it matters.
At A.E. Roofing & Contracting, we are proud to live and work in a caring place. Thank you for brightening the season for families in need. We are honored to do good together.
If you want to learn about future initiatives or ways to get involved, stay connected with us. We look forward to serving on the roof and beyond.
